Who is Mrs. Witte?

Mrs. Witte grew up in a small town in South Carolina.  She always loved reading and writing and spent a lot of her time tucked away with a great mystery or suspense novel.

She received her B.A. from Wingate University in 2002 in Public Relations.  However, what she really wanted to do was teach and so she moved to Charlotte and began attending Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC.  She graduated with a Master's Degree in Teaching in 2006 and landed a great job teaching at Piedmont Open IB Middle School. After 3 years in the "big city" she finally decided to move back towards home to be with family. At which point she got a great job teaching 8th grade language arts at York Middle School in York, SC. Just ask her and she will tell you; there is no other place she would rather be!

Mrs. Witte's ultimate goal is to model for her students her intent of being a lifelong learner. Therefore, she returned to the classroom as a student in January 2008 to work towards an Instructional Specialist degree in Curriculum and Supervision at UNCC. She finished her course work in the summer of 2009 working with an amazing lady in CMS named Becky Graf and she learned so much more than she ever dreamed possible! After that, she received her Gifted and Talented Endorsement with the Chester Co-hort of Converse College and then kept going! Currently, she is a doctoral candidate with USC Columbia in the Curriculum and Instruction Program of the Ed. D. She hopes to have all her coursework and dissertation done by the fall semster of 2017!!!

Per her goal, Mrs. Witte always strives to be a life long learner!
